Win10 Enterprise - Network Printing - Need Assistance to Print

I have submitted a few work tickets to our IT department to get this resolved to no avail. I am hoping someone here can provide me with the assistance needed to allow me to use our department printer. Some potentially useful details are:

1 - I see (2) instances of the printer in question in "Printers & scanners"

One of these features the caption, "App available for this device" while the second states "Driver is unavailable." My attempts to print test pages fail.

    2 - Windows 10 Enterprise, v1709, OS Build 162999.1029

I am attached to out network only in a wireless capacity because, I am too far from a LAN jack. The printer is in the department office on the other side of the building.

    - - - Updated - - -

I can successfully ping the printer IP address via LAN and WiFi but, test pages are not found in the output tray despite the queue showing these pass through it successfully.

    Hello,

As an IT guy, I don't like to configure printers through "Printers and scanners".

    Can you go to :
    > Windows Key + R
    > Type "Control"
    > Go to devices and printers (something like that)

Are you able to add these printers through this interface ?

There is something that we don't know, it's how these printers are configured :
    > local
    > server

When things are well done, the printers are linked to a dedicated server, the IT guys put the drivers into this server, and when you need, you just add the printers and then the drivers go from the server to your computer.

Maybe if there is no drivers, it means that the printers are not configured like that. Have you tried to search and install the drivers by yourself ?

    Hi Yseurk,

When I edited my initial post this morning, I failed to state that I deleted the 2nd instance of the printer. This is the one that featured the caption regarding no driver.

Thanks for commenting here. The printer in question is present in the dialog you referred me to:
    1) Windows key + R
    2) Type "Control"
    3) I selected the "Devices and Printers" icon

The printer in question appears here as my default. I made it the default. With this information, I do not see why I need to add the printer again...unless I am misunderstanding something. I certainly can do this but, I suspected probing the printer settings would be the preferred route to identify a solution. These appear below if you need them.

Sharing Tab - enabled; correct printer name; print jobs are rendered in client computers

Port Tab - only TCP/IP is selected; RAW; Port # specified

Advanced Tab - always available; priority 1; Driver = Xerox WorkCentre 5335 V4 PCL6; spool print documents (faster printing); start printing immediately; print spooled doc's first

Security Tab - everyone & my specific pc name appear in this list. I have administrative rights on my pc. I have print, manage this printer, manage documents allowed.

Device Settings Tab - Driver as listed above followed by a listing of trays then an additional yet, separate listing of installable Options

I realize beginning from nothing may be best so, we can take your route of adding the printer again if this is best. I also thought knowledge of these settings would be useful to anyone that chose to be involved in this diagnosis. I can only guess as to whether this department printer is configured as a local or server printer. I suspect it is a server printer yet, I would not know how to confirm this for you.
