Apologies for reviving an old discussion, but I'm having exactly the same problem at the original poster here: when trying to access a computer new to my network I get this message:

Network Error. Windows cannot access \\[New PC]
You do not have permission to access \\[New PC]. Contact your network administrator to request access.

All the appropriate sharing is in place. Someone posted a fix which worked for several users:

Unfortunately, that particular entry doesn't appear in either the new PC's registry or that of my older machine.

Both are running Windows 10 Pro version 22H2. The older machine is build 10945.3996, the newer one (the one which I can't access) is build 19045.3803. I'd be grateful for any thoughts. Many thanks.
