    Wireless internet issue - maybe

Desktop waiting for new parts, using laptop in the meantime, never checked the d/l speed on the laptop before, find I am only getting 25 MB of the 100 MB available. Put in a Netgear USB wireless adapter, get the full 100 MB d/l speed.

HP ENVY x360 Convertible - Intel Internet dual band AC 7265 wireless adapter.
D/L latest driver from HP - checked for latest driver in Device Manager - all seems up to date

Is there an issue with the Intel wireless, or is it performing as it should?
If an issue exists, what do I do to correct it?

The 7265 AC is a gigabit adapter. (The actual maximum is more like 800 Mbps.)

I don't know how to fix your issue.

If you have a dual-band router, try the 5 GHz band, just for luck.

I'm on the 5 ghz band, 100 Mbps is internet connection. I continue to use the Netgear USB adapter and be glad I have it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I would go into the advance tab on both driver adapters and do some comparing. So device manager, properties, advance. Different drivers have different abilities listed in the Advance tab.

Have you tried updating the wifi card straight from Intel?
