No permision to access files and folders in home network.

I have a Win 10 pro OS on my laptop and Win 10 Home on my desk top with 1809 up date. I have provided permissions set to all, and full editing permissions for all the shared files and folders. I can't access any of the computers or files. Get a message "you do not have permission". Run network diagnostics which returns with no errors.

Hi schorvath. Welcome to the TenForums @schorvath

Please have a look at this tutorial.

Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10

In File Explorer in the navigation pane, left hand side, there should be a heading network. Are your other machines listed under Network? You may have to expand heading.

When you say you have set permissions have you set both share and NTFS? What folder are you trying to connect to if its in the users profile that has special permissions set

    Not following.

Usually when you share a file or folder you are in documents or music etc. Not program files (executables).

Are you trying to run a program install on one device on another device.
