    I turned off SMB 1.0 including Client and Server, that made no difference
    I then turned on SMB 3 Direct but that made no difference at all.
    I have set them back to the way the were.

    Your post 31 you need to tick the bottom box then enter and admin username and password on the pc your connecting to not yours

    I used my login user name and password for the Win 10 laptop that I am trying to Map to but it failed to connect. hmmm...

    I tried again using the method suggested but got an error message saying: The remote computer isn't responding to connections on port 445.

    Your IP address is wrong. 192.168.18 is not a valid IP address. It has to be xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
