Can not save to network drive, permissions denied

    Another problem out of nowhere.

A USB stick on a Linksys router used as a network drive.

Suddenly, can not save to the drive, and PC says "permission denied."

Can find no way to change permissions.

Get error message: "An error occured while applying security information - failed to enumerate objects in the container, Access is denied."

Checked online and no suggestions work.

Router firmware does not need updating.

Power cycling router makes no difference.

Switching USB ports on the router makes no difference.

USB stick has plenty of empty space.

    32-bit Windows 10 version 1809, build 17763.316 3 GB RAM.

USB stick is FAT32, no errors, no problems writing to the stick.

Samuira's question was, does this happen on any other PC's connected to your network while the drive is plugged into the router or is it just this one PC?
These pics and files that have permission issues while plugged into the router, can they be saved to the USB Flash drive while it is plugged into the same computer?

Already answered that question. "USB stick is FAT32, no errors, no problems writing to the stick."

Removed the stick from the router, checked its properties, it showed as FAT32, ran an error check on the stick and copied a file to the stick using the same PC with no problems.

Tried changing USB ports on the router. Made no difference. Got the same error when tried to change permissions: "An error occurred while applying security information - failed to enumerate objects in the container, Access is denied."

Check Windows Update History, see if you have a recent update. If yes, uninstall it, see if that resolves the problem.
