Block complete connection to The Internet with windows?

Hi Guys after switching over to Win 10 and not using Kaspersky anymore until they have refined a working version of their latest product I can't find any way to block complete access to the Internet. In Kaspersky there was a setting that blocked all access.

Is it possible to do this too in Win 10 as there are times when I need to block access whilst my DJ studio is being used as I don't want a sudden download and reboot because of some program update while I am in the middle of a recording session, any help please?

    Many thanks

I would go back to Kaspesrky if it is compatible. I went back to Avast Internet Security and I have no problems blocking all Net access,

It works Gary but it is so buggy it just makes more problems than it is worth at present, keeps crashing and wanting to send daily upwards of 2-3 GB of data dumps in one week it had filled my 120GB SSD full of data dumps and I hadn't realised why until I checked under the hood. I can do without that at present, I'll wait on Kaspersky until it is Win 10 ready some time soon. In the meantime I still need a solution to my problem

Set your connection to a Metered Connection. Then you control when it does something. The Firewall is not going to stop Windows Downloader to go out and grab updates. I have not had to reboot Windows 10 yet after updates are installed.

This is a nice program which shuts off/turns on your internet connection. And it's free. It's working on 10 just fine.

InternetOff allows you to quickly turn off the internet so that you can go offline. When you need the connection, you can enable the internet easily for some period (and it will be automatically turned off) or permanently in just two clicks. Besides the program lets you password protect access to the internet.

If you're using blocking programs, you're still connected to the internet. The simplest solution as mentioned above is not to connect the computer to the internet in the first place.
