How do obtain current IP address for my PC

What is the best way to obtain my PC IP address (OS Windows 10)?

IPconfig /all doesn't seem to be right?

You must get it from a DHCP server normally the router/modem or you can set it manually

On the network status page, look on the right side, find your ip address. Ipconfig shows the router address, this shows your isp address.

Ah! Thank you! I knew I was missing something!

I also wanted to find out how to make my IP a static address. I see the spot to do it under change adapter options but don't know what numbers to put in there.

If you do an ipconfig /all then put those numbers in set dns to 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 for fast dns

    I have a Huawaei 4G router LiteCat6 B612
(Telus Mobility smart hub- uses SIM card and data to provide internet service).
The Default gateway is the same as the DNS servers
I have read that some routers act as intermediary for the actual DNS servers. I went to the router web interface and cannot find the DNS servers numbers listed. It does show a DHCP server is enabled and says the DHCP # and IP range and DHCP lease time. Is the DHCP# the same as DNS server#?

Definitely worth a shot! It has worked for me in certain situations.

Here is the resource that explains how to implement it (very easy):

    1.1.1.1 — the Internet’s Fastest, Privacy-First DNS Resolver
