I’ll have a look at that when I’m on that PC. Thanks.

The Default gateway is the same as the DNS servers
I have a 4G router with SIM card. I also have a 40Gb per month data plan. Anything over that incurs additional charges.

In my experience it's best to stick to the ip address assigned by your provider and also DNS Servers. I found that if I change DNS to something else then I cannot auto login to this page:

In addition for some reason data usage will be incorrectly measured by my provider resulting in sky high bills.

If I stick to the default settings there's no problem. This only happens with the 4G router with SIM card. Previously I was connecting via landline and netgear router and there was no problem with changing ip or DNS. It did not affect data usage.

Are you wanting to set a static WAN or LAN IP? ipconfig / all will only give you your LAN side IP address, assuming your behind a router.
Your routers WAN IP address is your public IP address, its the one seen from the Internet.
The LAN IP address ipconfig gives is the private IP handed out by your router. It can't be seen from the Internet.
If your going to set a static LAN IP on a PC make sure the one you use is outside of the scope of your router. Pick one that is outside of the range of IP's it hands out via DHCP. You can't have two devices with that same IP address on your network. You will crash your network.

Thanks alphanumeric. I was aware of not having two devices with the same IP on the same network.
My issue has been resolved by using different software then the one requiring a static IP.
