    Prevent mobile data USB tethering?

    Hello,

I have a small company and I have implemented OpenDNS using DD-WRT on my WiFi and Wired network blocking some websites.

But sometimes I catch employees connecting their own phones via USB and do USB tethering and accessing all file sharing websites.
They probably have stolen some confidential files and recently one employee did and gave all my files to my competitor.

How can I prevent USB tethering without completely blocking the USB ports?
Cause I need to connect mouse and keyboard.

You would need to lock the units down to only recognize those device id's of the type of keyboard and mouse that you authorize and let everyone know that it is a part of their employment, to not use company resources, which are not related to work. As for the files, you would need to secure those in a way that you can audit who accesses those shares/folders/files and not allow emailing outside, placed on usb storage devices, printed out without an audit trail.

Thank you but I found a better solution using Group Policy Editor.
