Download manager for my 3D products from DAZ3D seems blocked now

    Hi again,

So there is this little download manager called DIM from DAZ3D where I download my purchases from their store. Worked fine before my switch to WAVE Broadband. Now I'm not able to log into the account via the DIM. Can't be system wide as my updates for Adobe and Reallusion, which both use similar download hubs, just did two big updates for me and no issues. But not DIM. I keep getting a logon issue but my password is correct. Nothing works... manually typing in the password or copy and pasting it in... nada.

I did check the Firewall but DIM is not in there, not sure if it needs to be in there to allow incoming packets of info or not but if does need to be in there to be allowed I have no idea how to add it in. DAZ Studio which is the program I use along side DIM for using my purchases IS in the Firewall list but both instances of it were blocked, I unblocked them, rebooted but still not allowing DIM so I imagine it's a separate entity that perhaps needs it's own entry to be allowed outbound and inbound?? I have no idea.

    Thanks for the help!

    Richard

It is possible that your provider is the problem. Have you filed a ticket with DAZ3D and Wave, to see if they could replicate the issue.

I'm probably going to have to open up a ticket. I doubt it's with WAVE as it's just my ISP. DAZ forums are telling me that I just need to put my password in correctly but it is in correctly! SO I guess the next step is to create a ticket for their tech's to look over. Weird!

It is possible that their servers may be stuck on the old IP. Let Wave know, so that they can make sure that they do not have those servers blacklisted for that IP range.

I've sent WAVE a note about this. Not sure if they are truly the culprit but yea, I had no issues with DIM before switching to WAVE so perhaps there is something that needs to be looked in to! Thank you!

So Wave wouldn't help me... since the Modem/Router I bought (so as not to pay them more to rent one) so I contacted Arris the maker of my SURFboard SBG7400AC2 McAfee and as it turns out, not sure if I mentioned this, but DIM has shown it's got an issue with McAfee or the other way around. So I'm awaiting instructions on how to properly disable what ever I need to disable to allow normal back and forths. SO annoying!
