How do I reconnect my wireless printer to laptop?

    Hello. I'm new on here.
I had my HP Envy 4507 printer wirelessly linked to my Lenovo ideapad 510 (with Windows 10) and working perfectly. Now, the printer and laptop each indicate that they are actively linked to my network but when I ask the printer to print, I get the message 'cannot find printer'.
I have been on line and run full diagnostic checks on laptop, Windows 10 and the printer. Latest updates have been downloaded. All systems check out as working normally.
I should add that the printer is also linked to a Macbook Air and still works perfectly, printing every time.
I am gasping at straws! Please can anyone help? Thank you

Hi Glazier19 and welcome to Tenforums!

Did you run Printer troubleshooter? In Settings / Devices / Printer, click on your printer, then Manage and run troubleshooter. If this won't help try reinstalling printer (uninstall it, restart computer and let windows find any new printer),

Can you access printer from your computer? In explorer, select Network in the left tree and double click on Printer, if it is there..

Also, HP has HP Print and scan doctor, or something like that.

When my HP Envy does that...I just power off the printer and turn it back on. Then whatever I was trying to print...prints. It doesn't happen every time just once in a blue moon if I haven't printed anything with it in a while.

    That could help too.

Thank you both. I have tried everything suggested, with no result. However, the strange thing is that, although I can't connect laptop to printer, if I ask it to scan, it does so!

Thanks. I have checked again - nothing there! I'd already cleared out everything.

Both of those completed. Just been looking back on my scribbled notes - I keep them so that I can follow up later, if they work! When I did the reinstallation, there was a note on screen saying 'An individual parameter was passed to ? or function'. It did the same thing each of the two times I uninstalled and reinstalled.
This doesn't mean anything to me but does it tell you anything that might help?
