Do all ISP's throttle speeds/WiFi Blast?

I had read that all internet service providers throttle your internet speed after the first couple of months in order to get you to upgrade to their next tier of service.

What they supposedly do, especially if you are on satellite, such as Hughesnet, is split your speed between two channels since your router and modem are interconnected and can electronically alter your speeds of connection times.

Supposedly, WiFi Blast, can combine the split channels to increase your connection times for online browsing and speed up your internet.

I'm skeptical of the WiFi Blast product because all it seems to do from the reports that I read, is boost your WiFi range, not increase your connection times by combining the two channels.

I was curious if anyone has tried the WiFi Blast product and experienced increased connection speeds.

So far, the product support page for WiFi Blast claims that they have sold over two million units and counting. That doesn't seem like a lot compared to the U.S. population count of users online by way of any internet service providers.

I'm just looking for real feedback from anyone using the WiFi Blast product to confirm the authenticity of their claims that the product actually combines the two channels for faster internet connection speeds.

I don't care about the "in home WiFi range boost" which I know it can do, I care about whether or not it can boost internet connection speeds that it claims it can do by combining two channels.

Since the cat is supposedly "out of the bag" so to speak because of this product, I heard a rumor that throttling internet speeds is going to be a thing of the past because ISP's were busted doing this shady tactic.

    Gimmick or not?

I know nothing about your WiFi Blast. But, I have Spectrum (used to be Brighthouse) cable and my internet D/L speed was automatically increased from 60Mb/sec to 100Mb/sec at no additonal cost. Spectrum sells a higher speed service but the "basic" 100Mb/sec has not been slowed.

That is strange, it is being advertised left and right all over the place. It is easy to look up and read reviews:

    This is false.
WiFi Blast is just a WiFi extender for inside your home and has nothing to do with the speed from your ISP.

I'm interested why you believe that ISP's don't or can't throttle internet speeds, or are you just pointing out that the device is a gimmick?

I have used Cable internet for at least 20 years. My ISP's were Cox, Charter (Spectrum) and now AT&T Fiber and all of these have given me the speed I pay for. Yes they can throttle the speed but I have never seen it happen.

I pay for 1Gb service and they do offer 300mbs using the same equipment and control the speed with options. But I always get my 1Gb service. The WiFi Blast can not control that speed.

I currently have a 5GHz frequency on my router and a 2.4GHz frequency. I think the WiFi Blast product was claiming that it could combine the two frequencies (channels) of the router and boost internet connection speeds. Not the speed at which the ISP broadcasts its packets. That is two separate things we are talking about here. I find it hard to believe for a WiFi extender to be able to do that, and that was the part I was interested in if anyone had first hand knowledge of that aspect of the product.

That is a whole different subject from the ISP speed.
I have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz also and do not know how combining them would work but really don't know.

Yes, I think we just misunderstood each other on the same outcome. We are both on the same train, I'm just jumping off at a different stop. .
