cant connect to internet

Hi, basic questions so we can understand better:

Started it up today and i cant get on the internet

- please confirm you mean that yesterday the same PC could access the internet using the same router, but now it can't. How are you accessing the internet? Wifi? Ethernet? Have you tried both?

Exactly what indication are you receiving? How do you know this? Can you post a screenshot? To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post. Thanks. Please look at your Update History (in Settings, Windows Update). What are the most recent updates? Scroll down to Drivers too. Have you had any in the last day? If so, post a screenshot. What is your Windows build? Sadly most people don't mention this, and it's quite important. Unfortunately it's not a mandatory forum requirement. Windows key + R, winver Can you ping tenforums.com? Have you installed any new firewall or security software?

Glad it's working. However, if an update was responsible, you'll get the update again....

System Restore is notably unreliable as has been frequently observed here. Hope you're also routinely using disk imaging e..g. Macrium reflect (free).

Basic tutorials and videos on this site, many on Youtube, has huge help file, knowledge base. Recommended often here- extremely valuable, boot disk for unbootable cases. Images can even be used with another program to port programs to a new installation and act as a full backup.

GUI is less user friendly than e.g. Aomei Backupper (Chinese, well supported, poor error messages).
