    Internet Access Blocked

So I just noticed my plex media server is unaccessible from my TV, says server unavailable. I can view the server (which is running on my laptop) when I go to 127.0.0.1 but if I try and go to the full private ip address I get this message.
I even tried turning Windows firewall completely off and I still get that message. I also get it when trying to log in to my router....
I also get general failure when pinging any local IPs
What is blocking me, if not windows firewall?

    Your Internet access is blocked

Firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection.
    Try:

    ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED

Make sure that you do not have "Cloud Server" chosen on the PLEX server. The Plex forums come in handy for these types of questions.

It's not really related to plex. Plex is how I first noticed it. The issue is I can't ping or access any devices on my local network or ping my laptop from them.

i get general failure when trying to ping out and destination host unreachable when pinging in. Even when firewall is turned off....

Yes, it is a PLEX issue. Make sure that you are not using the Cloud storage and please use the PLEX forums for help. This question has been answered many times on that forum.

If you are not able to ping other devices on the network, then the port is being blocked to not allow it to return that ping, which is normal with some Gateways. I would be looking at the Router first regarding the Ping issue and use the PLEX forums in better understanding how Plex works.

Also using Localhost (127.0.0.1), is only going to do a loopback on that device, it does nothing to diagnose network problems across the network.

No, it's not a Plex issue. It's a wider issue first brought to my attention by my TVs inability to communicate with my laptop via my internal network. Why would Plex block me from accessing my router login page?
If you read my initial post I say even pinging my full private IP address (which means not 127.0.0.1 by the way), doesn't work .

Again, it is a known PLEX issue and a network issue. Suggest you use the Plex forums to help you resolve the Plex server issue.

Right, you're distracting from the real issue here. If you aren't going to help please stop.

I have had Plex on here for months and this hasn't been an issue. It hasn't just reconfigured my network settings in some way all by itself. Forget I even mentioned Plex. Plex doesn't exist and I can't ping in or out of my machine, can't access router login page or anything on the local network.

Try resetting the Network adapter by going into Device Manager and uninstall the device and the driver. For the Plex problem, use the Plex forums for help, which that is what they are there for. The other issue may be that you have third party security software causing the problems.

You will have to walk yourself through the troubleshooting steps, since you only have access to that computer. Plex has been known to cause problems for the server, when not setup properly.

the plex problem is the other problem. Plex doesn't work because nothing on the network can access my laptop.

I've tried uninstalling the driver, resetting all the network settings.

Plex IS set up properly. It has been working for months until whatever this other thing that happened has blocked comms in and out.
