The router is a Virgin Media Super hub 2.In the device connection status it lists 3 devices connected which all have
a MAC address,IP address and a Device name and all work ok but none of them are the printer.Where do I find the
    information regarding "MAC filters"?

I did change the default password on the router as advised by Virgin so will this be the password for the connection
set up on the printer panel?

The administrative password of the Gateway is not the SSID Passphrase. Two different things.
