    No internet access on startup

Network status will show "no internet access" with the yellow triangle icon. I have tried connecting to two different networks with the same issue.

Related to this is that Microsoft Edge is stuck in a white screen until I gain access to the internet.

I already tried uninstalling the device drivers, updating, resetting all network adapters, disabling fast startup.

I have to wait for a few minutes to be able to access the internet.

Windows 10 Pro x64 1809 clean install, Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377.

There's not much information about the computer itself but my guess, based upon the delay factor, is the computer is not fast in reading the HDD/SSD to load the necessary drivers for the Network adapter. I've seen it only once over the last several years, fortunate part [not so much for the owner] was there were other issues with the drive that required replacement and clean install, worked fine after that.

As for Edge, there are times/features in Win10 that seemingly have us Users tethered to the 'net, sometimes gets in the way of doing other things, running other programs.

    It's an Asus X560UD, i5-8250U, GTX1050, Samsung 860 EVO, 8GB RAM.

I'll add that while on the lockscreen, before logging in, the WiFi indicator shows that I'm connected properly (not yellow triangle icon).

    Update:

October Update is the cause of this!

I clean installed 1803 and I don't have this issue.

I didn't get any update for 1809, so I signed up for the Release Preview Insider channel to get the October Update.

After updating, I can confirm that this issue happened again.

October update also caused some Power options (e.g. adaptive brightness) to be missing.
