First thing I would do is check router.

Power it off, count to 20 and power on.

I would also restart, not shutdown, your computer.

Are you wired to router or wireless.

Did Windows install a new network driver? Start > Settings > Update and Security > View update history. Drivers are near bottom.

Windows didn't install a new network driver.restarting only the router is just a temporary fix.restarting the pc does nothing

Have you tried reloading firmware in router?

You didn't mention if you are wired or wireless. Does this activity happen on both wired and wireless?

Usually a hard reset. You would have to get manual for your device.

You might even find by signing in that there is an update to your firmware which you can load.

I can't do that and I don't believe that it's the routers fault.its more likely a Windows error than a hardware

    Okay.

Since you know it started with the CU you could uninstall the update and then hide it to prevent its re-installation. Then test.

What do you mean by hiding it

When you hide it your system won't install it. Your system can't "see" it.

Before trying to hide do you have the Pro edition. If so you can defer CU updates without the need to hide.

I should have asked this question before suggesting hiding.
