Default gateway keeps dropping

    i will try that too.and the tp link drivers are really old .they are meant for windows 8.1.i installed them but it didnt fix the issue.

    I found a new problem.i can't create a new folder.when I right click and then click new it just crashes.why is that???

    Can't say.

    Is it recording anything in event viewer when it crashes?

    Please run sfc /scanow as administrator

    I did disable that pv6 thing but it didn't work.i will try the sfc scanow and check the event viewer

    I recommend you ditch the adapter and enable IPv6.

    Well, when the he vendors stop supporting their hardware, it's time to get rid of it....only more issues down the line

    .. but for "educational purposes" pursuing with the unsupported one, the IPv6 trick worked for me until a reboot and it started again - so that's not the solution.

    I wrote a script with a scheduled task that reconnects when the gateway goes wandering into la-la land.. ....

    I'll test it and should there be no "proper" solution, I'll post it here.
