A network reset may mean you need to re-install any special communication software you maybe using, things like VPN's.

I don't use any special communication software so I will try that
i did the network reset and something weird happened.a new network got created.my normal network that I actually connect to its called cosmote home and a cosmote home 2 got created.another weird thing is that when my pc starts and I am connected to a network(doesn't matter whether I am connected to cosmote home or 2) it stops working like it used to.but if I then connect to the other network it works
Go into Networks and Internet and forget your old network.
Since the reset is the gateway dropping?
I don't think that I should do that.like I said no matter what the network is when I start up the pc after a few minutes the gateway drops.if I then switch to the other network (doesn't matter which network it's )then it works
First thing to check with network dropouts is the power saving settings.
navigate here Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections
Right click on the adaptor you are using and select properties
Select Configure
the last tab is Power Management, open this and make sure that the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is NOT checked ..
OK back out and hopefully the network should be more stable
There is no harm in forgetting a network. It just finds it again.
Will be interested in seeing if Power settings resolve.
I tried the power thing.not sure if it worked.my pc has started downloading new cumulative updates.and a preview of a cumulative net framework. will let you know for how it goes
It still doesn't work however for some unknown reason it only works if I disconnect and then reconnect
