User ID in remote connection cache

    User ID in remote connection cache


    I use the 'Run Command Box' in Windows 10 to connect to another machine on my office network using the command: \\<ip address> . I have a defunct ID cached in that memory which I would like to delete. Can someone advise which file/interface contains the user IDs for this connection do that I can delete it? I have searched the O/S and tried to search online but not quite sure how to phrase the question for a search (I haven't been successful thus far).

    I should also add that I searched the registry and found several SID entries, captioned below, that contain the cached name of the ID I want to delete; however, I am unsure which, if any, are responsible for this connection and I am not too keen on hot-dogging this. The following are truncated to the entry key level.

    These two entries look likely:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IdentityStore\LogonCache\Sid1Name\...
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IdentityStore\LogonCache\Sid2Name\...

    These look eligible:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\UserExtendedProperties
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IdentityStore\LogonCache\...
    Computer\HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\StoredIdentities\
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers\...\UserNames\
