    Constantly Losing WIFI

I lose wifi sometimes twice an hour on this HP When I go to networks, it will say connected, but I get no data. Sometimes it will just say no internet. When I restart, it will connect and work fine for a period of time, but often less than an hour.

    Hi txstoby

When did this start. If just recently you may have gotten a driver update. You can look in Windows Update history, Scroll down near the bottom.

If this is the case you you have to rollback the driver, in device manager find device, right click device, properties, driver tab, Roll back driver.

You will also have yo tell windows to layoff driver updates, option 4 this tutorial.

Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

Drivers also get updated with feature updates like 1803 or 1809. Did you install either of these recently?

Also check, while you are in device manager properties for your device, the Power mgmt tab. Remove the check mark that allows the computer to shut off device to save power.

Last thing to check under Advance Power Option is the Wireless Adapter Settongs. Set to max for all selections. To get to Advance....

Right Click Start > Power Options > Additional Power Settings (on Right when using maximum window) > Change Plan Settings (beside plan in use) > Change Advance Power Settings > Window Opens, click on required heading
