OpenSSL - Can Someone Help me Create One?

    Hello, Experts,

I need someone's help creating an OpenSSL certificate on Windows 10 for my NAS and router. I've literally spent hours (actually probably more) trying to go through the directions that are littered on the net but I can't still seem to understand how to do it. The directions aren't specific enough and I get lost.

If someone could please help me, I will promise them my liver, kidney, or any other body part that they require. If you need anything else, I will give. I'm a straight male but I might even consider someone to bugger me. That's how desperate I am...

I had plans on doing a full guide on how to to enable ssl for basically everything,
but haven't gotten around to it yet, mostly due to work & life getting in the way.
But when i have my guide up i'll be sure to edit my post and paste it here. :)

Well it took me awhile, but i kept my promise
Full SSL guide on windows :)

Fully Detailed Guide on how to get,
Nginx, SSL, Reverse Proxy, Cloudflare CDN, HTTP Authentication, to work on Windows with Free dot.tk Domain.

    Basically you need 4 things.
    1. A computer with windows OS. ( most people on the internet have that )
    2. A internet connection.
    3. Be able to open ports in the router.
    4. Time to spend setting everything up.

The only thing my guide costs is the time you spend on it :)

    Enjoy.

I Can't Believe How Nice This Person Is.

    Everyone! Please Be Quiet!

This guy did a very awesome thing and created this guide that newbie people like me can use in order to create an SSL certificate. I spent hours and hours which turned into days and days and into months but I couldn't figure it out.

But, this guru with a heart actually made a fully detailed guide!!! It must have took him a very LONG time. Everyone please thank him!!!

The guide took a few hours to create yes :P
But worth it :) it was fun to write, and i think many that read the guide learned a lot, or at least i hope they did :)

However my guide is sadly out of date when it comes to the generation of ssl / tls, because of how the dev decided to depreciate my version of win acme that i used.
Rest of the guide still works fine.

Hope you found my guide useful :)

Very nice, can you give here an high level description of what is the use/scope?
Is it used to remotely connect to your pc (?); to set up a personal web server exposed to internet via dot.tk ...
    ?

    thanks!

    Yeah sure :)
Nginx is a web server, load balancer, and a reverse proxy in itself so it has many uses, and it is superior to apache in many ways.
My guide is basically a detailed description on how to set up a nginx web server from a windows based OS environment with very high security already from the get-go. Enabling anyone to have a very secure web server hosted from any server they have access to.
This has of course many uses, it's really up to the individual who sets up the web server to decide what to use it for, but just to mention a few examples,
it could be used as a personal blog / site / forum / image hosting / VPN access / even streaming...
When it comes to remote access to a windows based pc i would not use nginx for that but instead anydesk.

But the thought here was to teach people how to do this on a windows environment instead of a linux environment and to show that it is possible to have a really secure site hosted from a windows OS.

The dot.tk domain was just because i wanted everything to be currency free :)
The only thing you have to spend is the time you put down setting everything up :P

    Thanks !
So you mean set up a web server (of any kind, file server etc..) into your home pc and make it visible on the internet (?)
    That would be interesting to remotely access data if you "forget that important spreadsheet at home" and you need it;

    do I get it right?
