How to Use Ethernet on My Wi-Fi Laptop

I have a Wi-Fi Laptop with Win10 Pro and when there is an Ethernet cable attached, the speed is the same as before. I want to keep the Wi-F- when I am away from the router
Have made changes to the Internet Protocol Version 4 and removed the check mark at Automatic metric and put the number 5 in the Interface metric. Do not have TCP/IPv6.

The above are my Network Connections.
What changes should be made so I can receive my cable internet speed on my Laptop?
I have the same issue with my Desktop that has an Ethernet cable attached but also has Wi-Fi. The connectors on the desktop look much the same as my Laptop, but I normally get my cable speed

Who is your ISP, what modem/gateway are you using, do any other devices get a lower speed when connected via Ethernet, what website are you using to check your speeds, are you using a VPN, a DNS that is different than what your ISP hands out when connected, what is the manufacturer and model of your laptop. Use the Speedtest Cli Python script to check your speeds for wired and wireless from the Windows Command Window. https://www.howtogeek.com/179016/how...-command-line/

You need to set your dns on all devices to 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 Whats giving you problems is the vpn you have installed that can slow the whole thing down

You need to post this stuff into a message, not as attachments.

Why would he bridge the connections, when he is trying to figure out the difference in speeds between the two connections.

Thanks. My Desktop is up to speed. On my Laptop the WiFi speed is the same as when I plug the Ethernet cable. I did a ipconfig /renew on both before doing the speed test

You do not need to do a IPCONFIG /renew before the speed test. We need the output from the Command Window of the results from the speedtest that I posted.
