How do I connect to an SMB share on OSX machine from Windows 10?

    It is not my document and the Apple Support info is very easy to follow. Your Mac will have a network name assigned to it. You can find the Netbios name in the WINS tab for Network in System Preferences. Choose Advanced then WINS tab. All of this is at support.apple.com.

    Also there is no AFP anymore. Mac OS X uses SaMBa, since it is a FreeBSD based OS.

    Calling it 'your document' was just a figure of speech. I meant no offence by it.

    I have checked Apple Support. I did find the WINS tab in the advanced options. The problem is it won't let me change it.

    It's no big deal, really. Thanks for your help.
