Cannot Access Win 10 Laptop from Win 7 Desktop

you could make it easier by having same username / password on all the machines -- if it's YOUR network -- that's up to you of course --I can't actually see any problems with entering username password to access resources that exist on a remote / other machine anyway --that's just me though.

You're absolutely correct about using username/pw. A habit I got into back when things weren't so dangerous. Different landscape now.

Anyway, have we determined that username/pw is not the problem here since I can access via net use but not via the Network folder??
