Computer doesn't have a valid IP Address

Hi, I really need some help with figuring out what I get computer doesn't have a valid IP Address. I have tried the following:

    1. ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns
    2. Used the netsh int ip reset.log
    3. netsh winsock reset
    4. Reset the router
    5. Uninstalled and reinstalled the WLAN/LAN via Device Manager.
    6. Played around the ipv4 settings

Can someone please advise if I am missing something or is there something else I can try.

I look forward to people's input and suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Minya

Hello Minya, I can see that you joined the Forums a long time ago and you had Windows 7 and 8.1 back then. Can you update so we know what version of Windows you are using.

If you are on Windows 10 you can type Network Status in the search box and go to the following screen where you can try Network Reset at the bottom:

You will also see there are troubleshooters you can click on. If none of these work the problem may be the router, cables or even the external DHCP server you are connecting to.

Hi Samuria, thanks so much for offering your assistance. I did forget to mention that I did perform a network reset but I still had the same problem. Please see the attached ipconfig /all as request. Look forward to talking soon. Minya

    So ... what's the problem?
The thread title is Computer doesn't have a valid IP Address. But your ipconfig dump shows that you have a perfectly good IP address: 192.168.0.24
Your DHCP lease date/time is peculiar:
    Code:
    Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, 23 October 2018 10:40:53 AM
    Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, 23 October 2018 11:40:53 AM
It was obtained this morning at 10:40 AM and expired after a hour at 11:40 AM.
Why is your router's DHCP set to offer one-hour leases? It's more typical to have 24-hour leases.

Hello Margrave, I actually left out a paragraph when using copy and paste.
The issue is that when I want to connect to a modem/router (either wirelessly or by cable) I get the computer does not have a valid ip configuration. I have tried resetting the settings but it still does allow me to connect even after uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless/lan drivers. I am trying to connect to a dlink modem router model: Dlink DAP1650 and trying to use this in 'repeater mode' for additional coverage in my home/office. Does that make more sense?

I also don't know why DHCP renews so regularly and I don't know how to change it.

The DAP1650 is an extender so you will need to follow the instructions given here using the link for "How do I configure my DAP-1650 as a range extender?"
