A lot of us use Macrium Reflect. We image our OS/program drive and when it heads south it is a simple restore.

Free, reliable and saves many brain cells.
Interesting, never heard of that program. Is the image in an ISO format? I'll definitely take a look at it. I'm assuming I can just partition my HDD and have the SSD's image save onto that.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

I went with the purchased version as it has Image Guard (prevents all other apps from altering backups, think Ransomware) and allows Backups at the file / folder level.

You have to create boot media for the all out disaster.

Other products out there like Acronis.

    Some thoughts from other members.

How much do you trust Macrium Reflect?

Well... We got some good news!!!

THE NEW NIC FIXED THE PROBLEM!

Wow does this feel relieving... Just one question Ken, I remember you saying you saw a review stating the radio in the wireless card is a Realtek, any chance you remember if it had the model number? I only ask because right now I'm on the Windows driver and the ASUS website only shows a driver from 2016.

More good news: I get much better signal strength with this card! I can actually connect to the 5GHz network.

Excellent. When I saw the green check mark I was happy, not as happy as you but happy.

That's the exact same radio as my old NIC *facepalm*

Well that just means I already have the drivers for it I guess lol

Anyways, I don't wanna get too cheesy, so I'm just gonna thank you for helping me out with everything, I actually learned a lot through this whole process... particularly not to be too confident in hardware (LOL).
