Wifi card not detected in Safe Mode with Networking

    Hello,

When I boot into safe mode with networking on my laptop with the latest and updated Windows 10 Pro version, all I get is the ethernet icon and NO wifi at all detected. Seeing this all over the web, with no explanation. Unsuccessful also when choosing option to safe boot with network (msconfig). All needed services for wifi/networking are off in safe mode; if you try to turn them on in services.msc, you will get alert that the service is not available in safe mode. Can you help?
    Thank you,
    Clarita

This is normal - only wired networks are available in Safe Mode with Networking. Wifi cards will not work.

    Hey dreamhouse,
WiFi does work in Safe Mode with Networking. You have to manually connect to your WiFi Network before you login. Click on the Ethernet Icon and it should show your WiFi Networks > Connect > Login.

Thanks for correcting my mistake - I did not know you could workaround it in this way. I've just tried it successfully.

BTW ... if you forget to connect to WiFi before logging in ... Do Ctrl-Alt-Del > Lock > Click Desktop to get back to Login Screen > Click Ethernet Icon > Connect to your WiFi > Login

Note: I haven't tested this yet.

I haven't seen the Airplane Mode before, when doing this. Did you try both Left & Right Click on Ethernet Icon ?
