K, I was using the wireless adapter name "Wi-Fi" from one of you previous screen shots, which appears to be wrong.

The output of the 2nd command is now what I was expecting and they look ok. None have NetboisOptions : 2 which would be Disabled. The one with NetboisOptions : 1 .... I'm guessing is your adapter where you set it to enabled vs default in the properties which should be fine.

I don't know why ipconfig /all shows TCPIP over NetBIOS as Disabled ...

    1. If it's actually disabled (which it doesn't appear to be) looking at the registry entries we just checked
    2. If it's a bug/issue with that PC, which it appears to be
    3. If it's just display issue in ipconfig /all showing it as disabled, when it's not

Bottom line ... I don't think we missed checking anything, but I'm outta of ideas. Maybe it's time for an inplace repair/upgrade or even a clean install, but only you can make that call.

    Sorry I couldn't help

    Broken NetBIOS over TCPIP?

    @jkirkman44

Skimming through I get the impression that one problem you have is a broken NetBIOS over TCPIP, which I had with the Creator update. Thanks to this link I managed to solve it.

Unfortunately, Microsoft updates since then have caused a similar problem by - innovatively - finding new ways to break the functioning of a LAN. Out of four PCs in my LAN two will absolutely not communicate since the 1803 "update". I mention this since repairing the NetBios in your case may still not eliminate all problems that Microsoft keep introducing...

Going back to the Netbios over TCPIP you can download from GitHub the ShareFix tool, which - at least - should give you back the Enabled NetBIOS selection.

    Cheers!

After the last Windows 10 (October) update, my computer cannot see shared folders of Windows XP on the local network.

I've been able for years to use shared folders of other computers (including Windows XP) for my work but suddenly (10/16/2018) my computer stopped seeing those folders on the local network (no Domain).

I've tried to turn off my antivirus, any available firewalls but to no avail. I've followed all possible and recommended solutions from the Internet but nothing helped.

    In short.

Within one day, my Windows 10 computer stopped seeing/accessing Windows XP shared folders on the local network.

    Another interesting thing.

One of Microsoft Community answers recommended to try "SoftPerfect Network Scanner". After downloading it, I was able to see all local network computers and open some(!) shared folders of some (not all ) Windows XP.

Any help to resolve that very annoying issue?

How to start from scratch joining Windows 10 and Windows XP computers on the same network?

    Thank you in advance.
