You changed the Password on 1, right. On 2 go to Control Panel > Credentials Manager > Windows Credentials and you should see credentials for 1 and you can edit the password.

You should be using a password for both, as it make things easier when sharing.
Ah OK so as long as there is a password set up it's then OK to use a PIN as well and it won't affect sharing?

As I take the laptops out with me all teh time for djing it may be better not to enbale auto login. Having a pin will speed things up

Yes .. PIN is basically for your convenience when signing in on startup. Having Passwords setup helps make things like sharing simpler/easier due to the way Windows handles network sharing/credentials.

Definitely do NOT use auto-login then :)

Perfect makes sense on both counts so I'll set up pins on both now that they've got passwords too

I posted a question on the forum but had no replies
I use Free File Sync to sync the music on both laptops as it will even detect changes I make to the tracks. Is there anything else you'd recommend to do this

Not really ... Long as Free File Sync does what you need ... then if ain't broke don't fix it :)

    Note:
    1. I haven't used Free File Sync, so don't know anything about it.
    2. I use the old MS SyncToy 2.1 and it does what I need, which is just syncing a couple of my user folders.

Thanks I used sync toy a while ago but FFS gives me a lot more control so I'll carry on using that then

Thanks again for all your help
