Cannot connect to network drives - network path not found!

This is a really infuriating problem that I just can’t get my head around!
I have 2 win10 pcs and one WDigital network drive all wired together by Ethernet via an Asus AC68u.
Pc 1 can read and write to the network drive and can read and write files to pc 2
pc2 can read and write to pc1 but although the drive icon is visible in “this pc”, whenever I try and open it, I get the error attached.

The network drive can be read by every wireless device in the house with no issues and if I disconnect pc2’s Ethernet cable and plug it into any of the other laptops in the house, the network drive is perfectly read/writable.

Ive checked all the basic network discovery stuff, SMB1 being checked. I’ve even created a new user on the pc and it still doesn’t work from that account.

Pc 2’s internet access and other networking features are fine - it just seems to have an issue with this drive!

Can anyone please help, I’m losing my hair over this!

    You should have ip\share \\102.168.1.11\sharename

Sorry, I don’t understand that! The IP is the ip of the drive but what’s the share and share name? And where’s the second IP address ending in 11 coming from?
Sorry to be such a dumbass but I’m well out of my depth with this stuff!

He was just using the \\192.168.1.11\sharename as an example. Use your WD network drive IPADDRESS and a folder name that you've setup/shared on it.

    Note:
    1. There is an issue that some people are seeing with Win10 1803 and accessing network shares using hostname (i.e.\\ROUTERDRIVE)
    2. If you can access your network shares (i.e. WD network drive) by \\IPADDRESS ... then it's just this hostname issue.
    3. There is no simple one fix for this issue, but people have had success fixing it using different methods.

My drive name is now WDMyCloud (just been factory reset) and the shared folder is DroneVideo. The IP address is 192.168.1.162. Can you tell me what to type please?
I really don’t get this. If I plug any other PC into the same port on the router using the same lead, it just connects with no issues whatsoever. I’ve gone through all the network settings on the non-connecting PC and made sure they’re the same as the connecting PC and it still won’t connect.
This morning I reset the PC to factory settings, wiping everything and it still will not connect. Feel like thowing it through the window right now..

In File Explorer > Address Bar > \\192.168.1.162\DroneVideo

Not necessarily. You have to click on See Details to be sure.
Also paste in File Explorer address bar (not in Internet Explorer!): \\192.168.1.162 and Enter. What do you see? List of NAS shares?

(Hope you backed up data before factory reset.)
