This morning I reset the PC to factory settings, wiping everything and it still will not connect. Feel like thowing it through the window right now..
Don't know if your WDMyCloud uses SMBv1, but IF it does did you reinstall it on that PC ?

Sorry, here’s the full dialog box.
I did back up everything but not put it all back just in case it was something I added!

No, not sure how I do that or if it’s already installed. How can I check?

Check your WDMyCloud admin and see if it has any options for choosing which SMB it uses (i.e. SMBv1 or SMBv2/SMBv3)
IF you need to install SMBv1 on that PC - Enable or Disable SMB1 File Sharing Protocol in Windows | Windows 10 Tutorials

EDIT: I'd check one of your working Win10 PC's to see if it has SMBv1 installed and if it has both the Client & Server installed (You may only need the Client)

Did you try it using ip address? Or type at command prompt:

    Code:
    ping 192.168.1.162
    net view \\192.168.1.162

Ok, getting somewhere now! MyCloud works with SMB1 or 2 or 3. You have to select it and SMB 3 was selected.
I chose SMB1 and immediately the PC connected! If I switched it back to SMB2 or 3, it stopped working!
I would leave it at SMB1 but I was told that that was dangerous so I should choose 2 or 3.
Obviously, the pc does not have SMB 2/3 installed or turned on. Where can I enable either?

    1. SMBv1 was patched on Win10 against the WannaCry and the risk is low on a home network IMO.
    2. SMBv2/SMBv3 is installed by default, but my not be used if you installed SMBv1.
    3. Did you install SMBv1 on that Win10 PC and does your working Win10 PC's have SMBv1 installed ???

Hi, I didn’t install SMB1 - I’ve not actually installed anything on the PC. The other PC works with SMB1, 2 or 3 enabled on the MyCloud drive admin section so I’m assuming that at some point, I must have installed them on the working PC!

K, I'd check the working Win10 PC's to see if SMBv1 is installed (using the tutorial I posted earlier) and set the other Win10 PC's accordingly.

Ok, both PCs have SMB1 installed but only the partly working one stops if I switch the MyCloud drive to SMB 2 or 3!
if I deactivate SMB1 on the partially working PC, it just stops seeing anything at all on the network.
I guess I should just stick the MyCloud in SMB1 and forget about it, especially if there’s nothing to gain by using SMB2 or 3.
