    Prioritizing my network for gaming

Im using a wireless network for gaming, since i dont have the option for a wired network.

What can i do to optimize my wireless network for online gaming? Is it possible somehow to prioritize my wireless network for games?

Not really, other than make sure you have the best channel that is not in a congested group and a good Wireless Access Point.

    Hey Cerawy,
You can use WireLessNetView to see WiFi sources (near you) and what channel numbers they're using ... as well as your own. The more users on a particular channel the more congestion there will be, which might impact you. You can change which channel you're using to a less congested one in your router admin > wireless settings.

NiroSoft WireLessNetView - WirelessNetView - Wireless Network Monitoring Software

Note: It's a portable app (no install)

That's good you're the only one ... I'm the only one around here using AC-5G on channel 153 :)
Sorry, I don't know anything about that.

Assuming you do have both 2.4G and 5G and how many devices you have on your network. You should be able to separate which devices use which wireless connection. I have my two PC's using 5G and all the others devices on my network (Amazon Echo, Vizio Tv, etc) using 2.4G.

I got my computer connected to my 5 ghz wireless network. I think thats pretty much it. Also, i found something called QoS to prioritize gaming, if anyone knows how to set it up, please let me know.
