Sharing files or folders after April 2018

I have two windows 10 PC. I want to copy some files from one PC to other by direct sharing. After April 2018 update, there has been some changes though I have not done sharing even before April 2018 also. Can some one tell how to share files from one PC to other. My Both PC are on same Broadband. One is connected through Lan and other is connected through WI-fi. I do not have Bluetooth and I am not able to see other PC in my network.

Rather than rewriting the instructions You need, I will suggest you read through this tutorial which gives the basics you need and also has a section at the end with links to tutorials of related Information ...
Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

The good news is that as you already have both devices connecting through a router most of the work is probably done already

One thing to check is that you have both systems on the same network name normally the default is Workgroup but check both the PC and laptop are the same ...

The other thing you need is to set the devices so that they can see each other
Turn On or Off Network Discovery in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

To make all this work you then need to share some folders in the PC and/or laptop, this can get a little complicated as there are two settings to be considered the sharing permissions and the NTFS (File System) permissions. Dont worry Windows has set up some defaults that should get you started - The "Public" folders are Set to share with everyone on the network, so just copying/moving files to this are is enough to sort out your network security for you.

Another way of proceeding is to have the same username and password on both devices, this will allow you to set the folders you wish to share and the named user will automatically have the permissions it needs for access

Read through the tutorials and give it a go, any issues post back and we'll try to help

Thanks to everyone who guided me. Though I didn't tried yet but don't you think that windows has made sharing a very complicated. It could have been made more simple. Is there any batch file which could do it automatically.
