Mounting a Folder as shared network drive

    Hi there
not sure if it's me or has W10 changed the way you mount network drives

I used to be able to add say HDD2/Music as a "Network drive" on say Z. Now it seems I can only mount HDD2 as a network drive. (I.e top level directory rather than one of the subfolders - in this case a Music folder.).

I can fix it by changing the SAMBA conf for one of the shares to XXX/music but I don't recall ever having to do that in the SAMBA conf.

Maybe I'm just getting old !!! and it was always like that.

    Cheers

I don't *think* it has changed (I could be wrong though). I've always put in \\<PCName>\<ShareName> since forever.

Still works for me I just created a shortcut on my desktop " \\192.168.200.101\Video " Works fine, on a mapped drive.

Also works on a drive that is not mapped " \\192.168.200.105\ "
