laptop doesn't detect any wi-fi networks at all.

i've tried changimg literally all the settings there were, using a system restore point and resetting my net card (is that a word? sorry, i suck at english.) but it gave me nothing. sometimes i hate this piece of utter garbage.

    Hi dogcore.

Do you see the wifi icon in notification area?

I assume it has yellow asterisk over it.

Go to device manager and check if drivers are properly installed.
Rollback driver if there is yellow sign on wifi icon and install a fresh copy of it.

Please confirm Wifi has worked on this laptop... and if so, until when?

Click the Action Centre icon (bottom rt) and check Wifi and Flight Mode/Airplane Mode are as shown:

Once you are sure you have a valid driver installed as above, then

right click the icon, click Troubleshoot, and post the result.

Then right click the icon, click Open Network... and post a screenshot of the result.

i've tried changimg literally all the settings there were,
This could cause all manner of problems...! I remember my elderly mother's technique... press all the buttons on the microwave or TV remote control in the hope it would do what she wanted.

my wi-fi is working perfectly on my phone and console, but my piece of junk laptop doesn't see any wi-fi networks whatsoever. all that i get is this icon with a red X, a monitor, and a cable. also, using ethernet cables is out of question.

Your "My Computer" shows no useful information about the computer, fill in the information.

Be sure you have Wireless/Wi-Fi turned on, usually a switch somewhere on the Notebook/Laptop or maybe an Fn key + another key that does it. The hardware has to work before Windows or other Operating System even 'sees' it.

Confirm you have a valid driver (Device Management) then as above please

right click the icon, click Troubleshoot, and post the result.

Then right click the icon, click Open Network... and post a screenshot of the result.

Have a look at your Reliability History - there should be a red X corresponding to your BSOD. Explore that- what does it say?

    i'm afraid i can't post a screenshot, for a bunch of reasons:
1.my laptop is entirely in polish
2.i'd have to use a micro usb, and i don't even know where it is

troubleshooting says it may be a problem with the wi-fi card, and the network & internet settings just say i've got no connection with any network

the reliability monitor says.. well, i'm a little confused. i don't really know what's important info and what isn't, and even then i'll probably have a hard time trying to translate it
