There has been a lot of issues with Networking in the latest two Windows 10 releases 1709 & 1803.

This has been due to last years Wannacry outbreak worldwide and Microsoft's hardening of the Windows Networking System, to strengthen the protection levels. The loss completely of the homegroup infrastructure in 1803 has added to an already confusing system.

To check that the basic connections are present you can try entering \\192.168.n.n (use your own IP addresses of course) that is a basic emergency connection method but should at least prove the basic protocols are working.

The new requirements require changes to two Services Startup modes

    Function Discovery Provider Host
    Function Discovery Resource Publication

need to be set to Automatic (Delayed Start), on all systems and the systems rebooted, (the number of reboots can be variable so some systems may need more than one reboot over a period of several hours until all data is fully shares with all systems, which has always been an issue with any polled ID system like Windows Networking )

If you have any NAS systems or other devices on the network that run older embedded Linux/Unix OS you may need to re-enabler the SMBv1 client and server in all systems that need to access these devices, this is done in the Add//Remove Windows Features.

    Note   Note
As the SMBv1 Protocol was the actual cause of the vulnerability used by Wannacry, so only re-enable these protocols if you need them and although the Windows 10 OS is now fully patched against Wannary I would recommend that you run a modern Security Suite,, (or the windows option), for ransomware protection

    Problem accessing Networks

Thanks for the info Barman58, I found this Youtube site: Fix Error Code 0x80070035 - The Network Path Was Not Found - YouTube
It helped with one computer and a few network connections on others but 2 desktops were still problematic so in desperation I disconnected the cable out of these 2 and connected wirelessly, as soon I done that all the networks on these 2 computers became visible, I thought then it was a cabling issue and ran a cable test on both of the CAT6 wiring relative to the 2 problem desktops, all OK, The Switch is a Netgear Pro Safe 16 Port Gigabyte Switch GS116, could it be suspect?

You could try a reboot of the router when it's convenient for you to do so. A switch should not cause any issues as they do not usually require a driver

I would also suggest that you disable and re-enable the Ethernet entries in Device managers, better still, but only if you have access to any special drivers required uninstall the drivers and see if windows loads a generic windows driver that may work, If this is the case keep your eye open for new drivers from the manufacturer, they can sometimes supply a basic driver to microsoft before they release the full driver to users
