    SmartByte Network Service

So recently Dell have added 'SmartByte Network Service' and Diagnostics. Apparently it makes streaming more fluent or something. Problem is, I don't want it! but if I try and uninstall it comes right back. It takes up a fair amount of CPU, AND my internet is slower. I have no use for it yet it is forced on me. Anyone can suggest how to get this forced software off my Dell Laptop. Why do they automatically think everyone wants this anyway?

It appears that Dell has it installed by design. You can use The PC Decrapifier

Looks like Decrapifier came up with nothing, nor is it in the 'Everything else' list. Looks like I'm stuck with it then. Thanks, Dell!

You can stop this service by going to the Services tab in your Task Manager, right click on the Status of running and change it to stopped. (I read this somewhere else; I am not really this smart)

    Hello there!

Official support for Rivet Networks here.

We have confirmed that a large number of these problems are caused by using an outdated version of the Intel Wi-Fi driver. You can update your Intel Wi-Fi drivers to the latest version available by downloading and installing the appropriate package from Dell here – Intel 9560 9260 8265 7265 and 3165 WiFi Driver | Driver Details | Dell US
    .

If that doesn't solve the issue for you, updating SmartByte from this location - SmartByte Application | Driver Details | Dell US
    - may help.

If you have any other issues with SmartByte, please tell us about by clicking here!
