    Wifi and Ethernet not working

Recently i connected a 15 m ethernet from my router to my pc because my wifi extender wasn’t working. Until today when i noticed my ethernet wasn’t flashing that was going into my pc and my ethernet icon wasn’t there it was just a wifi symbol. I could still connect to the internet and access the browser. I then tried to fix it by resetting my pc, restarting the router and replugging in the ethernet cables. Now when i restart i get the ethernet icon with a red X which then changes to a wifi symbol with a white star above it. I can not access the internet at all. i’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting. deleting the profile using cmd and it didn’t work. i’ve also tried restarting my router and still nothing, is there a way to fix this as my ethernet just appears orange in my router and nothing’s faulty as it worked previously. i’ve tried some solutions but nothing’s working.

Welcome to the forum does the ethernet show with a yellow triangle in device manager if so you need the correct driver for it. Open a cmd prompt type
    ipfonfig /all

it says drivers are fine but when i diagnose the ethernet it says there might be a problem with the driver for the ethernet adapter
