Temporally shift the device a few second into the future so it is invisible, with added bonus of no data lagging as you get it before it is actually transmitted.

Just do it like in the navy "If it moves, salute it, if it doesn't, paint it".

    Hi there
Can't see what the problem is -- just hide the wretched thing so you can't see it.

In any case if it were designed to look elegant by some incredibly talented Italian designer just think what the item would cost.

Personally for this type of hardware I'd go for cheapness rather than "beauty". -- If you are into "Beautiful Hardware" then stick to apple !!!!

No thanks on the Apple suggestion.
I've picked up some aluminium mesh (sheet with punched out pattern) and will try form it into screens for Modem and Router. Need to get bedroom drops in and operating first.
Pixs are Modem end of Great Room and Router end of same wall.

If you are going to shroud it in metal, make sure antennae are sticking out or there will be bad to no connection by WiFi.

    Hi there
I'd hide that --after a drink or two I'd think there were giant spiders coming to attack me !!!

Trouble with these minimalist type of decor you can't hide it in big cupboards etc. There must be somewhere you can put it though especially if you are not using any LAN cable (i.e only wi-fi).

    Cheers

I will "fence" in the modem. It hasn't any Wi-Fi. As to the Router I intend to leave the antennas uncovered. Wifie will either ignore it or not use Wi-Fi, her choice.

Seriously I remain puzzled why these are both the size they are . Most likely miniturzation would cost manufacturing $$.$$ And why eat into the profit margin if not strictly necessary.🤨

Put some paper flowers on the antenna. Or get one like this Lyra Voice | Networking | ASUS Global
or Blue Cave | Networking | ASUS Global

I can't see any issue, If you want to decorate you home to look like its 1818 and not 2018 you cannot expect technology to fit in as there was no technology in 1818.

These days we see too many cases of Form over Function I'd much rather see something that works efficiently, than something that is fits in with the decor but works badly
