    Extremely low network speed problem

I'm using Windows 10 Pro. My Internet speed is very low. I've had a very reliable and knowledgeable COX cable senior technician to my home for almost two full days. The signal coming into my home is a little over 100 Mbps. However, only three feet from the router, it drops down to 20 Mbps or lower. The technician tried everything including five brand new routers - all with the same result. The modem was also changed five times - all brand new and of different brands. The signal coming into my modem is constant at a little over 100 Mbps. There is nothing more he can do. There are no obstacles between the router and my computer. I also have tried several other computers with the same poor results. So I present this serious problem to this forum for help.

Have you tried the speed on a cabled Ethernet connection? Sounds like an issue with Wi-Fi given the major drop-off. More info, please!

Which of the networks is yours none have a strong signal which will cause slow internet
set yourDNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0..1 that will speed it up a bit
Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter is running so it may go vi vpn which again can slow it to a crawl
Your running a n type card 300 meg with a AC router that can go at 3 gigs so it may drop a lot as the two cant keep up there may be a setting on the router to set it to c and N type.

You have loads and loads of connection from teamviewer and other

Where do I set my DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1? Do I set both - and where?

Keep in mind that I have tried several computers - all with the very slow speed.

What is Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter? What is vi vpn?

On my computer, I have just purchased an AC card - but it is not yet installed.

What does it mean that I have loads and loads of connection from Teamviewer and other? Please explain.....

I think you can help me by your response - but I need to ask questions so I am clear on what you mean. Please bear with me!

You set dns on the wireless adapter
With Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter the wireless doesnt go out it goes via a VPN connection so instead of going from a to b it goes a to c to d to e to b

You have connection established via teamviewer

    [TeamViewer_Service.exe]
    TCP 127.0.0.1:5939 DESKTOP-4U75PB9:53839 ESTABLISHED
    TCP 127.0.0.1:53834 DESKTOP-4U75PB9:53836 ESTABLISHED
    [TeamViewer.exe] TCP 127.0.0.1:53836 DESKTOP-4U75PB9:53834 ESTABLISHED
    [TeamViewer.exe

I would stop all none MS startup programs as there are so many running see which is slowing you down

Is this where I set the DNS settings you refer to? Also, what happens when I reset them? I'm concerned about screwing up my router.

If I don't have Kaspersky in my Startup, I'll have to start it manually every time I boot? Also, if it's not in my Startup, how will that increase my Internet speed?

Will making these changes increase my Internet speed to my other computers?

I have uninstalled TeamViewer - but I have not yet reduced the number of Startup apps yet. How will reducing them increase my speed?
