I hope so, too. It is taking a long time, though. It took 6 hours just to download the updates (broadband is slow here).

Well, finally the update has been made. The bad news is that there is no difference with the problem. I have checked and I can access both computers from PC 2 so I will live with that. I cannot afford to spend more time on this problem. Thank you, once again, for your help.

Guess what? Networking to PC 2 has just started working on PC 1. The only change I made was to allow access without a password from PC 2 as when I tried access from PC 2 a password was being asked for. I presume that the Win 10 refresh had set the PC 1 password setting to on. I made the last post before re-trying the networking. I hope that makes sense as it may help others. If it does not make sense, please say and I will attempt a longer explanation.

Anyway, I am now very happy.

    Excellent. Glad to hear.

Would be nice if you knew exactly what was reset, could help others.

The important point is it is working.

    Thanks for posting outcome.

If you could mark thread solved that will help others find your fix.
