    Wifi drops every 5-30 seconds

Hi! Hope someone can help me out. Ok I got 1 ASUS laptop and 1 Lenovo. Also 4 phones and 2 ipads. No problem with wifi on any except for the ASUS. We bought the 2 laptops we had poor iSP so I didnt give it much though and I shared my phone internet for the computer and then it was great on the ASuS. Then we moved and now have Fiber connection. The asus dissconects from wifi all the time while all other devices do great and never disconect. I have done all the fixes I find on google and microsoft support. I uncheck the turn off wifi in powermanagement. Though that was it. Nope. I actually had wifi for a minute when I did that so I though it was solved. I successfully uppdated driver and restarted the computer an hour ago. Nah didnt help. I use original windows 10 so I havent updated from 8 or anything. I have the shop reinstall everything and tested the wifi through phone(shop did not have wifi). when back home, same problem. So when sharing internet through phone wifi works but not on the fiber from the router.

    So:
    - unchecked the powermanagement thing
    - wifi works great for all other devices and my Lenovo which works also has windows 10
    - have updated very recently driver for nerwork
    - have reinstalled the works one time, didnt help
-wifi works great if The ASUS gets internet sent from my phone when phone is using 3g internet (cannot share internet i my phone is on the router wifi). This cost data though so this is not a solution.
    - done a few other fixes I found cant remember what that was though. Driving me crazy. The lenovo is for my daughter and mine is the ASUS.

Did this problem start after a Windows 10 update? The latest one seems to have brought a lot of bugs and issues with it, including network issues. I had that problem, but was helped to a solution here:

    1803 update, wi-fi keeps disconnecting/reconnecting Solved - Windows 10 Forums

If your troubles are not related to an update however, we must hope someone more knowledgeable than me comes around and sees this :)

No, it was like that when I bought it. In the shop they asked me to test a few things like wifi via my phone because they had no wifi in the shop (indonesia). That worked. At home we had poor internet connection so I though that was the problem. But i did notice then that the ASUS had the worst connection of everything. But then we move to another place with fiber. Thats when I knew something was wrong. I hadnt updated Windows.

Network reset did not work for me but it looks like manual download and install and reboot of network driver worked. Been half an hour and no disconnecting yet. So far so good! I got to go to sleep but I will check tomorrow if it still is fine. Thanks everyone!

Thank you, now it is solved. Located the wireless manufacturer homepage and manually downloaded the newest driver, then manually updated the driver. Rebooted and now its seems to be working. No disconnection yet. Thanks!

I have noticed something really strange. To explain this maybe I have to tell you this. I have dropbox but when i bought this laptop I didnt install it. Also I will explain we moved to Indonesia and dint bring our computers which is why we bought 2 new laptops here in Indonesia. Because the first place we moved to have horrible connection from the adsl provider we shared internet from the mobil telefons so I only used email etc. No point in Syncing my giga bytes of data from dropbox via 3G right. So when we moved to the new place with fiber, I then discovered that the ASUS has wifi disconect issues which has been driving me crazy. Since the issuses of connection I still didnt install dropbox. But, the other night when I though I had sovlved the problem and actually had connect half a day without a problem for some reason, I finally decided to install dropbox on that computer. Now here is the thing. I am noticing that when I do not touch the browsers, the connection never drops and the dropbox i absolutly syncing gigabytes of data. So when I dont touch the computer, wifi never disconects and large amounts of data is being transfer from drobbox to my laptop. Almost 80% of my entire dropbox has been transfered succesfully while asleep. So whats the proble you say? well as soon as I open a browser, a few seconds later, poof, the connection is gone and I struggle to get a connection and when I do poof gone again. Constantly disconnecting when trying to browse with chrome or explorer. But when I leave it alone connection resumes and dropbox chugs away. So I now know I dont have hardware problems (right?). How can my computer download gigabytes of stuff and no disconnection problems on wifi (if I just dont touch a browser). But when I try to surf the net the problems arise?
