Your share looks correct, except for that extra NETWORK permission.

Since you have been fiddling with a lot of settings, one thing you should do now is reboot both computers using this command:
    Code:
    shutdown /r /t 0
This is to make sure no cache or stuff like Fast Startup is interfering with your settings. Once both computers has rebooted, check all settings you have gone trough, one more time, ...just in case.

Let me know if there was any progress.

Still no permission to \\ken. I am using Windows Firewall with Windows Firewall Control and just wondering if there could be something in WF that is causing a problem ?

Getting tired for now, too old !

When I start on this again I will look through the advanced settings.

If you think of something 'way out there' send me a message.

    Thanks for now

Right click the folder you are trying to share, click on Properties. Then click on the Security tab and make sure "Everyone" has access. If Everyone is not in the top box there, you will need to add it and give permissions in the check boxes below. If Everyone is in the top box, make sure they have permissions in the bottom box.

Have you tried to Map the share?

edit: OK let's try a different approach. On the computer you are trying to share. Right click the start button and open Computer Management. In the left hand column click to expand Shared Folders. Click on Shares. Do you see the drive you are trying to share? I do not mean the default D$. If you do not see another entry there, right click in the open space on the right and click New Share. Follow thru that wizard and share the drive you would like. Then see if it works.

Right click and stop sharing it. Then right click and click on New Share.....share it through the wizard and see if it works.
