Why two separate sections for computers !! Hacked ??

    Hi there

    can't understand this

Only happened after 1803 update (W10 X64 Pro).

getting an extra computer in another section - computers -- (Douglas) with a Mac address when browsing in Network in File explorer

Not getting hacked -- I can check via router - it goes through Linux gateway so nothing in or outbound for this machine

Is it a mobile phone ???

It disappears if I switch phone on and off but it's confusing and where does it get the name Douglas from

    Cheers

Hahah! I see a lot of interesting stuff on my computer.

My neighbors TV and mobiles, and a bunch of stuff appearing and disappearing on an hourly basis.

It may be showing up because of periodic wireless or Ethernet network scans/polling. I have wireless devices nearby showing up on my network from time to time. You can usually right-click mystery items and get some idea of what's up by viewing their Properties windows. If you can't connect to them, or access their contents, that usually means it doesn't work the other way around, either. In that happy (but also very common) case, there's little or nothing to worry about.
