Hi there
one thing we can all agree on though is Windows networking is still a hideous mess -- nearly everybody these days wants to share files / stream audio / video from servers / NAS boxes, use phones / tablets / smart TV's etc on a LAN and it appears that the same solutions often don't work twice.
I'd suggest that Ms gets some top level Network gurus and locks them into a room with a typical home type of Lan (not a clean corporate one) and doesn't let them out until the whole thing is working 100%. Devices must include W10 / W7 / XP /Apple MacBook / Android phone / iPhone / Smart TV / Amazon fire TV box / Linux NAS box and a QNAP NAS box.
System must work consistently at least 6 times after booting the odd computer / device -- only then would I send the product out of the door for general release.
Not surprised why about 85% of cloud / other commercial servers use some type of Linux (Red Hat, Suse, and Centos being the most popular with some ubuntu servers too).
Cheers
