Installed a new modem/router combo, now none of the local network computers show up under Network in Files Explorer. I have a Pro tablet, a laptop, and 2 desktops on the home network.
I am "guessing" it has to do with some modem setting, not a clue where to start looking. This is a new situation for me.
See if you can ping other by name and IP as its a new router windows will see it as a new network so may have set it to public or it may just take some time to update try this tool see if it see everything running it will often kick things into life NetBScanner - NetBIOS scanner
Since your network infrastructure has changed, make sure your computers NICs are set to Private Network. Windows likes to change this to Public Network for some reason.

depending on age / OS installed on other computers on network - (I assume you've enabled your computer to be visible on the network) you might need to set the SMB settings to SMB1 - use turn windows features on / off and enable SMB1. You probably need to enable remote connections on this computer to be set as well - and obviously set HDD's to shared if you want sharing on the network.
Android tablets / NAS / Linux boxes may well be using older SMB1 which is disabled by default now.
1 NAS (Linux), 1 W7 machine and 1 W10 machine all visible -- without SMB1 only the W10 machine is seen.

@Samuria: I can ping all 3 other machines - All machines are running Windows 10 17134.5

I have gotten this far, but nothing seems to be working. At one point after installing the router the machines did show up in the Files Explorer, now nothing.
Thanks for the replies. After I get the new router/modem in place and get all the cables "neatized", I'll return to this issue.
Yep, there does not seem to be anything wrong with your network. It just takes time. I've had this same issue and suddenly I can see some computers and others not.
It's a Windows thing, must be, since I've experienced this on all my Windows networks since Win NT3.51/95.
One thing that might help is to connect all computers to a switch and the switch to your router. But that does not solve the issue with devices connected via WiFi.

Router should be able to see what's on your network
Might be silly suggestion but IMO worth a look at.
the switch is a good idea too but as @slicendice says won't help for wifi.

Router firewall settings - I "unchecked" Enable Firewall - will see what happens now.
ETA - no change after unchecking Enable Firewall - printer now prints, but doesn't show up in File Explorer Network section.

You need to set two services to automatic (delayed start):
Function Discovery Provider Host
Function Discovery Resource Publication
I started them both and my PC instantly showed up in the Network.
Open a Run box, (win key + R) type services.msc and press enter to open the Services List. Scroll down until you find those two. Set them to automatic (delayed start). Then right click and start them both. That PC will now show up.
