    Okay.

    So when you wired from your laptop to the router are you using one of the four network ports or the yellow Internet port.

    internet port... but also started the sharing before I hooked up the router... the address shows up still..

    and if you run

    ipconfig /all | clip

    on a pc connected to that router

    (the | clip puts the output on clipboard so you can paste in thread)

    It looks like your PC that is connected to router is aware of pdanet but the physical connection it is making is not getting a valid IP address, the realtek adapter has an address 169.254.132.235.

    I found these setup instructions.

    If you open the Pdanet Broadband adapter on this PC have you shared the connection?

    Anyway I thought these instructions were interesting in that it allows you to by bypass computer tethering if you have the right router.
