before I do anything what does reset do? Is that going to put it back to install specs meaning like it was just installed?

Secondly if I back up my firefox items like profiles and then put them back when firefox is reset will this put back what we are trying to remove?

just asking as I would prefer not to lose anything if possible.

I know with firefox I can back up my passwords and such is it safe to back those up at least or.... same with bookmarks??

    One more thing:
You've given me a Scan log from ADWCleaner, and not a Cleaning log

    Attachment 185693

A cleaning log will be as I showed before

    Attachment 185694

See the [C1], [C2], [C3]? You're giving me the [S0] which is the initial Scan, not the cleaning. You did run the Cleaning after running the scan, right? It forced a reboot to clean everything right?
No what I sent above is titled AdwCleaner[S0].txt

Here it is again just in case I sent wrong thing but that i what I sent above pretty sure

    WRONG FILE EDITED OUT

Yeah, you're giving ,me the [S0] which is the initial scan log.
    EOF - C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[S0].txt
I need the initial CLEANING log, which will be C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[C0].txt - see the difference?
Did ADWCleaner reboot the system to clean everything out?

after I ran that everything went back to normal no proxy was being forced like it was before.

Then last week had it start again and I redid ADWCLEANER but no good then MALWAREBYTE that did clean it out yesterday and was fine but this morning SOME of the apps started to act up again through weather channel and IE both seem to be working fine

For the other browsers, it's going to put all their settings back to default. Since you don't use them anyway, it shouldn't be a problem.

For Firefox, it will remove all add-ons/extensions/user modifications (like in "about:config"). I don't save passwords in browsers (it's not safe), but I seem to recall that in FF it will reset the browser and then put all your passwords and bookmarks back in for you. HOWEVER, it would be smart to export/backup them yourself just in case.

Either it's coming back through syncing, or you're installing add-ons/toolbars that are bringing it back.
